本篇推送展示的是北京大学艺术学院贾妍老师本学期开设的通识核心课程“美索不达米亚艺术与文明”的课程大纲、课程介绍、参考文献和考核方式。

本课程通过对古代美索不达米亚（两河流域）艺术与建筑的起源、发展、风格特点及历史流变的讲解和考察，引导学生理解作为“人类文明摇篮”的古代美索不达米亚特有的视觉与物质文化。课程力图突破西方传统“东方学”框架下的文明视野，以中华文明为观想本体和潜在的比较对象，在美索不达米亚文明的盛衰中引导学生思考人类文明面临的普遍问题，在全球化的语境下提升文明对话的意识与能力。

贾妍，北京大学艺术学院助理教授。北京大学历史学学士、艺术学学士、历史学硕士，哈佛大学艺术史博士。国家社科基金项目“亚述帝国崛起与文化扩张研究”负责人、北京大学人文社会科学研究院“未名学者”。

现开设《美索不达米亚艺术与文明》、《古代西亚北非神话与艺术》、《亚述浮雕专题》、《美术史研究方法》等课程。北京大学黄庭芳/信和青年杰出学者奖获得者（2016）、“北京大学优秀班主任”荣誉获得者（2017）。

课程简介

本课程在世界文明发展史的大背景基础上，通过对古代美索不达米亚（两河流域）艺术与建筑的起源、发展、风格特点及历史流变的讲解和考察，引导学生理解作为“人类文明摇篮”的古代美索不达米亚特有的视觉与物质文化。课程力图突破西方传统“东方学”框架下的文明视野，以中华文明为观想本体和潜在的比较对象，在美索不达米亚文明的盛衰中引导学生思考人类文明面临的普遍问题，在全球化的语境下提升文明对话的意识与能力。方法论层面，课程致力于在讲授中引入艺术史学科的一些基本研究路径，即从视觉材料入手，结合文献记载和考古材料，通过对“图”与“物”的观看、解读和阐释，探索其背后独特的文明形态与文化传统。
