The Reform Office of the State Council has announced that the Alien Employment Permit and the Foreign Experts Working Permit In China would be integrated into one certificate -- the Foreign Working Permit In China. 

According to the notification, the“Integrate Two Certificate Into One”policy has come into effect gradually since January this year. If you want to get the new version of the Foreign Working Permit In China, you need to go to Municipal State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA).

Guangzhou Employment Center has stopped accepting application of the Foreigners Work Permit, the Alien Employment Permit and the Foreign Expert Certificate. Since April 1st this year, the Alien Employment Permit extension, modification, cancellation (or migration), and short-term work permission have not been available in China.

However, the Foreigners Work Permit, the Alien Employment Permit and the Foreigners Short-term Work Permit In China within the validity period are still available.

After the “Integration”policy being carried out, the Foreign Working Permit In China and the Notice of the Foreign Working Permit In China are both issued by Municipal SAFEA. You are required to handle the application procedures at the specific counter in SAFEA.
