Introduction: The Innovation has published 300 articles from 2020 to 2022 (Figure 1).  The authors come from 49 countries and articles belong to 9 categories (Figure 2), which have been cited by researchers from 113 countries (Source: Web of Science). The Innovation is a multidisciplinary journal covering all natural science fields. To facilitate readers to refer to articles in a specific field, Editorial Team integrates the contents from different Issues to make this Virtual Collection. 

引言：从2020到2022，The Innovation出版三卷十三期共300篇文章（图1），作者来自49个国家。这些文章分布在9个栏目（图2），已被113个国家作者引用（数据源: Web of Science）。The Innovation是综合性英文期刊，发文内容涵盖所有自然科学领域。为方便读者查看出版的某领域文章，编辑部整合这两年不同刊次的相关内容，陆续推送Virtual Collection（虚拟专辑）……在本刊发表的文章，同时在微信公众号上进行“科普化解读”——尽可能让更多人懂得文章的主旨和亮点：传播科学知识，传承科学素养；和您一起理解科技创新的最新进展与突破！2020年-2021年，出版周期为季刊；2022年-2023年，出版周期为双月刊（出版月份：1/3/5/7/9/11）

Informatics: The information revolution is always in the ascendant. Informatics studies the regularity of information representation, acquisition, processing, transmission, and application. In the face of pandemic challenges, how can we find out the characteristics of COVID-19 and grasp the laws of prevention and control? In the post pandemic era, the financial fraud has increased sharply. How to deal with it through intelligent analysis? How does artificial intelligence affect the paradigm of scientific research? It's still a long way to use advanced technology properly to make a better living seting.

信息学：数字革命方兴未艾。信息学旨在研究信息的表示、获取、处理、传递和利用的规律性；它在生活中被广泛使用。在人类面临疫情挑战之时，如何从信息中发现新冠病毒的特性、掌握疫情防控的规律？后疫情时代金融欺诈剧增，如何通过智能化分析应对？人工智能在如何影响科学研究的范式？信息科学的迅猛发展正在不断重塑与改善人类的生存环境。本次虚拟专辑收录信息学相关论文，包括：Perspective 1篇，Report 1 篇，Review 3篇, Commentary 10篇，共计15篇。
