This edited volume reflects on the development of corpus translation studies as a rapidly growing, diversified field of translation studies. Since its inception in the 1990s, corpus translation studies have permeated through almost every corner and branch of contemporary translation studies – from literary translation stylistics, through cognitive and neural translation, to more socially oriented translation studies, such as health care, environmental, and political and policy translation. Corpus methodological innovation has become a central research aim and priority in some of the most dynamic areas of translation studies. Methodological advancement has as its main aim a better, enhanced understanding on the part of translation studies scholars of the internal factors and external variables that may account for the prevalence of certain translation features (for example, corpus textual and linguistic patterns).

Sharon Deane-Cox is Senior Lecturer in Translation Studies at the University of Strathclyde, UK, Assistant Editor of Translation Studies, and member of the Young Academy of Scotland. She has published a monograph on Retranslation (2014), while more recent projects include research on the translation of Holocaust memory, Scottish heritage translation, and interpreter history.
Anneleen Spiessens is an Assistant Professor at Ghent University and is affiliated with the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication. Her research focuses on ethical, political, and mnemonic aspects of translation. She is the author of Quand le bourreau prend la parole: génocide et littérature (2016).

作者简介： James Hadley is Trinity College Dublin’s Ussher Assistant Professor in Literary Translation and Director of the College’s MPhil in Literary Translation. His research represents his wide-ranging interests, many of which centre on translation in under-researched cultural contexts. His interests include machine translation and computer assisted translation research, as well as integrating empirical research into Translation Studies.
Kristiina Taivalkoski-Shilov is Professor of Multilingual Translation Studies and Vice Head of the School of Languages and Translation Studies at the University of Turku. Her research interests include literary translation, translation history, and ethics of translation. Throughout her career, she has worked on the notion of "voice" in translation,which she has examined from theoretical, historical, and ethical perspectives. Carlos S. C. Teixeira is a Localisation Engineer at IOTA Localisation Services and Adjunct Professor, Universitat Rovira i Virgili. His research and publications have focussed on translation process research, notably the interaction between translators and technology in professional settings. With Routledge, he has authored a chapter on "Revising Computer-Mediated Translations" in Mossop, Brian. Revising and Editing for Translators, 4th edition (2020).
