Heart to Heart (H2H) is a special fund of the Ren De Foundation. We are a Shanghai-based charity that provides corrective heart surgery for children from all over China who suffer from congenital heart disease (CHD) these children are from disadvantaged backgrounds who's parents and families are unable to afford to pay for surgery. Along with our Surgery Project, H2H runs associated projects inline with helping disadvantaged families and communities. These projects include our Rural School Library and Rural School Sports Equipment Project's, our Food Card and Children's Playroom Projects, and our Heart Bears Project. Since our inception in 2003 H2H is proud of the fact that we remain a 100% volunteer organization. All donations to H2H go directly to surgeries and our associated projects.

About CHD

A congenital heart defect (CHD) is a defect of the heart that is present at birth, meaning children are born with the problem rather than acquiring it later through life. There are many kinds of CHDs, ranging from those that are very minor and may go undetected for many years, to others that are very serious and require immediate intervention.

CHD in China

Qu-Ming et al's (2019) study revealed statistics on the number of births affected by CHD in China to be similar to those in western culture, at approximately 9 births per 1,000. Although there was a slight tendency towards higher numbers of females, males were affected more severely by CHD.

H2H aims to help as many Chinese children as possible with CHD – regardless of the type of defect. 

We need your help to raise money for these surgeries. Even though we help more children each year, we will continue to need your support. 

Thousands of Chinese children are born to families who can’t afford the surgeries each year; we would love to help all those who need it!

By joining the AnyBiz project we expect to raise community awareness and bring attention to the need for supporting the thousands of children born every year in China with Congenital Heart Defects. AnyBiz will bring to H2H the opportunity to generate interest from prospective cooperation partners, sponsorship partners, and as a recruitment tool for volunteers. H2H will endeavor to meet all the requirements specified by AnyBiz during our cooperation period.

What do you expect from us and what you want us to provide?

Our expectations are that we would be able to reach a broader community base and gain exposure through social media channels, online communities along with the ability to share news and highlights of our work with those who may not be familiar with the work we do. We believe the AnyBiz platform has the ability to strengthen our community connections and networks and help us continue the life-saving work we do.
