职位：全职研究助理

   香港树仁大学中国语言文学系招聘全职研究助理一名，协助实施由香港政府研究资助局资助、杨一可博士主持的研究项目“普通话-粤语成年双语者一语二语声调系统的相互作用”。受聘者需于2023年9月1日到任，受聘期一年（续约须视乎资金状况及双方意向）。薪酬将依据学历及经验确定。

1. 持有语言学、言语科学、中国语言文学、心理学或相关专业的本科或以上学位，专研语音学、语言习得或心理语言学者获优先考虑；

2. 对语言学研究充满热情，有学术发表者获优先考虑； 

3. 具备优秀的中英文应用能力，包括普通话和粤语； 

4. 具备较强的沟通和人际交往能力，有主导或协助行为实验经验者获优先考虑；

5. 熟悉Praat、PsychoPy、Audacity、R或Python等工具者获优先考虑； 

6. 工作勤恳、具责任感、处事谨慎细心。

• 工作职责

1.设计、测试实验材料； 

2.招募实验参与者并组织参与者进行实验； 

3.处理、标注实验数据，进行初步分析； 

4.撰写研究报告； 

5.处理与本项目相关的行政及其他指派事务。

Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Hong Kong Shue Yan University

Position: Full-time Research Assistant

Project Title: The interactions of L1 and L2 tonal systems in Mandarin-Cantonese late bilinguals

Principal Investigator: Dr Yike Yang

The appointment will be made on the basis of a one-year contract starting from 1 September 2023, with a possibility of renewal (subject to funding availability and mutual agreement). The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Requirements

The applicant should have: 1) a bachelor degree or above in linguistics, speech science, Chinese, psychology or a related discipline, preferably with a concentration in phonetics, language acquisition or psycholinguistics; 2) enthusiasm for linguistics research, preferably with some relevant publication record; 3) an excellent command of spoken and written Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin) and English; 4) strong communication and interpersonal skills, preferably with experience in administering behavioural experiments; 5) preferably experience with tools such as Praat, PsychoPy, Audacity, R and Python; 6) diligence, responsibility and thoroughness towards work.

Responsibilities

The applicant will be responsible for the following tasks: 1) designing and testing the stimuli of the experiments; 2) recruiting and identifying eligible participants for this project and conducting the experiments; 3) processing and annotating the collected data and performing preliminary analyses; 4) writing up research reports; and 5) other research and administrative duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
