Way of seeing:Overlooking the Mundane

内容简介：好奇心为何重要？是什么塑造了艺术家们的思维？像魔术贴、子弹列车和真皮细齿这样的伟大发明从何而来？我们如何利用各种刺激来影响我们的生活和工作？讲座参考了埃德温·A·阿博特的著作《平面国》，简要探讨了著名心理学家描述的五个好奇心维度。梅德森将讨论她对平凡事物的工作和观察，探索其激发观众想象力的潜力。
Introduction to the lecture: Why is curiosity important? What shapes the artists’mind? Where do great inventions like Velcro, the bullet train and dermal denticles come from? How do we use various stimuli to influence our life and work? The lecture touches briefly upon 5 dimensions of curiosity by renown phycologists and the book Flatland by Edwin A. Abbott. Madsen will talk about her work and observations of the mundane and its potential to invoke the imagination of the viewer.

芭芭拉·梅德森 Barbara Madsen
美国新泽西州立罗格斯大学梅森·格罗斯艺术学院教授，版画系主任。1958年生于美国。1985年毕业于美国杨百翰大学版画/绘画系，获学士学位。1988年毕业于美国德雷克大学版画/油画系获硕士学位。现为美国新泽西州立罗格斯大学梅森·格罗斯艺术学院教授，版画系主任。曾在意大利、苏格兰、捷克、塞尔维亚、美国等地举办个展。作品曾在欧洲、亚洲、中东等地的重要国际展览中展出。
Protessor at Mason Gross School of the Arts,Rutgers the State University of New Jersey and Director of the Rutgers Printmaking Studio.Born in 1958 in USA, Barbara Madsen received her B.F.A.of Printmaking Drawing from Brigham Young University, Provo, UT in 1985 and he M.F.A.of Printmaking/Painting from Drake University,Des Moines, IA in 1988.Now, she is a professor at Mason Gross School of the Arts Rutgers the State University of New Jersey and Director of the Rutgers Printmaking Studio. She has had solo exhibitions in italy,Scotland,the Czech Republic. Serbia, and the United States. Her works have been shown in numerous international exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

内容简介：在当代艺术迅猛发展的今天，版画艺术家不断突破版画艺术媒介，创作更多的艺术表达，为当代版画提出更多可能。
迪米崔将以“2022贝尔格莱德五月版画展”为背景，通过解析艺术家的版画作品，了解当代版画的发展情况，同时也为大家的创作和想象拓宽道路。
With the rapid development of contemporary art nowadays, printmaking artists are constantly pushing the boundaries of the medium, creating diverse artistic expressions and opening up new possibilities for contemporary printmaking.
In the context of the "2022 Belgrade May Exhibition of Print Arts," Dimitrije Pecić will analyze the print works of artists to gain an understanding of the development of contemporary printmaking, while also expanding the creative possibilities and imaginations for everyone involved.

迪米崔·佩契奇 Dimitrije Pecić
1961年出生于塞尔维亚。1986年在贝尔格莱德美术学院获得绘画学士学位，1989年获得硕士学位，2017年获得美术学博士学位。他是塞尔维亚美术家协会的成员、贝尔格莱德美术学院的全职教授，主要教授素描和绘画。从2012年到2014年，他担任该学院平面艺术和视觉研究中心的主任。2014年，当选贝尔格莱德美术学院的院长。
Dimitrije Pecić was born in Serbia in 1961. He obtained a BA degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1986, an MA degree in 1989 and a PhD degree in Fine Arts in 2017. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS). He is a full professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where he teaches drawing and painting. From 2012 to 2014 he was the director of the Faculty’s Center for Graphic Art and Visual Research. In 2014 he was elected Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade.
