Abstract: The contemporary debate on collective intentionality in analytic philosophy has lasted a few decades, but questions concerning the nature of we, and the relation between self, intersubjectivity, and community are obviously far older. We can find a particular rich discussion in early phenomenology. Indeed, while starting out with an interest in the individual mind, phenomenologists began their exploration of dyadic forms of interpersonal relations shortly before the start of World War I and were already deeply engaged in extensive analyses of collective forms of intentionality a few years later. Quite unlike mainstream philosophical work on collective intentionality which primarily focuses on joint action, phenomenologists, however, extensively explored the relation between self-understanding, interpersonal understanding, and communal experiences. In my talk, I will present some core insights from this early debate, and in particular look at the contributions of Husserl, Walther, and Schutz.

在浙江大学“海外一流学科伙伴增强计划”（2021-2023）的资助下，浙江大学哲学学科与UCL（University College London）哲学系和丹麦哥本哈根大学主体性研究中心（CFS）将开展一系列学术活动。本次讲座是系列活动中的一个，由浙江大学哲学学院、现象学与心性思想研究中心和哥本哈根主体性研究中心共同主办。为增强国内外学界的交流，我们也邀请了国内一些优秀学者参加本次系列活动。

导    言

扎哈维教授为我们的合作项目写了一段导言：

“集体意向”是由哥本哈根大学主体性研究中心（CFS）和浙江大学现象学与心性思想研究中心共同组织的系列讲座。该活动基于CFS正在开展的研究项目“我们是谁？”（由欧洲研究委员会和卡尔斯堡基金会资助），研究作为“我们”的一部分而感觉、思考和行动意味着什么。其工作假设是，对“我们”的系统性说明，必须嵌入在对自我性和社会认知的更为综合的研究中。该项目围绕三组关键问题展开：1）集体同一性和自我同一性有何关系？“我们”与“我”有何关联？2）集体意向性和“我们”视角与社会认知和人际理解有何关系？3）不同的“我们”关系是怎样的，这些关系需要何种类型的自我经验和人际理解?本项目结合跨学科资源与学术史研究来探究这些问题，并尤其要从经典现象学中吸取丰饶的资源。
