普渡大学徐冉杰实验室招收神经生物学及干细胞相关博士后和研究生
Postdoctoral researcher and PhD candidate positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Ranjie Xu in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at Purdue University, West Lafayette, to study neurodegenerative (Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia) and neurodevelopmental disorders (Autism).
Introduction
The Xu laboratory
■
■
The Xu laboratory investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms of human brain development and pathogenesis of neurological disorders, focusing on human neurons, microglia, vasculatures, and their interactions using human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) models. We employ multidisciplinary approaches in our research, including stem cell reprogramming, molecular and cell biology, bulk and single-cell RNA-sequencing, patch-clamp recording, pharmacology, animal behavioral testing, and various imaging techniques. Our recent studies successfully generated an hiPSC-based disease modeling system, including in vitro brain organoids and in vivo human-mouse chimeric brain models, to interrogate human neurons and microglia function in brain development and neurological disorders, and identified new therapeutic targets.
