直播写雅思作文：可能是史无前例的实验
最近在练雅思作文，目标 8.5-9 分，上周三我突发奇想：既然反正也是练，何不直播写？印象中还没有哪位雅思名师这样做过。于是我给自己挖了个大坑：观众随意出题，我随机选一个来写，边写边讲解。这可能是史无前例的直播写作雅思大作文。
我选了网友给的这个题目：
Some people believe that the latest technology is creating a divide between rich and poor. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
由于是第一次即兴直播，我低估了边写边讲的难度，没能控制好时间，在 1 小时 40 分钟的直播中只写了文章的第一段和第二段。感兴趣的朋友欢迎倍速收看回放（点击文末“阅读原文”）。下面是直播后我完成的文章全文，算是交给听众的作业。
It is unsurprising to hear a voice saying that new technology is the culprit of the widening economic gap in many countries. I believe there is a great deal of truth in this.
The chief reason is that trendy technology tends to be expensive and thus is only affordable by the rich. The latest technology is powerful, but it also costs more, and companies have to price their products in such a way that they can cover the R&D costs. Inevitably, novel technology favors the well-off, who can easily afford sophisticated gadgets and smart software, which can boost their productivity and make them even richer, leaving the poor languishing in poverty and despair.
Cutting-edge technology can pose another grave threat to the economically disadvantaged. Empowered by advanced technology, a growing number of industries, from banking to education, are being digitized. This means that what used to be done by workers is increasingly being replaced by automation, notably artificial intelligence. By contrast, the rich, generally more educated, more financially secure, and equipped with more transferable skills, will not be affected as much.
In consequence, workers with moderate salaries will earn significantly less, because employers will capitalize on technology to improve productivity and reduce the costs of human resources. Worst of all, the already struggling will find themselves unable to make ends meet or merely rely on social welfare. The gulf between rich and poor will only widen.
To conclude, new technology benefits the rich more than the poor, and the trend will be a cause for concern unless some measures are taken to close the gap.

其中有两处需要注意：
1. 我在检查时发现直播中把第二段中“make them even richer”的 them 错写成了 their；把“they can cover the R&D costs”中的 they 错写成了 it（they 指代的是前文的 companies, 不是 technology）。
我在直播中提到，考试一定要留 2-3 分钟时间检查拼写和基本语法，并替换使用过多的主题表达。因为这是我们可控的，只要花一点时间就可以发现，避免不必要的失分。
2. 文章第二个观点（3-4 段）和直播中的第二个观点不一样，因为我在写的时候，发现直播中讲的第一点和第二点重合了，于是就想到了新的观点。
我们在审题的时候，不免会出现这样的情况，这也是为什么我在直播中强调写完分论点要拿着题目反复 check，确保分论点相关且相互独立。
直播中我真正开始动笔写是从第 60 分钟左右开始，在这之前，我围绕雅思写作讲了以下几个方面：
雅思写作包括哪 3 个步骤？每个步骤需要做什么？
为什么雅思大作文不宜超过 280 字？
怎样审题？怎样确保分论点符合题目要求？
怎样想出题目主题中的同义替换词？
