On the cover


Ocean Science is a discipline that investigates various aspects of ocean, including marine environment, marine biology, marine geology, and marine meteorology. It covers a wide range of subjects to gain a deeper understanding of the physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes of ocean and their interactions with Earth's climate and ecosystems. The primary research methods in oceanography include satellite remote sensing technology, underwater robot, molecular biology and genetics, the study of the microbial carbon pump, deep-sea exploration tools, and marine archaeology techniques, etc. The continuous advancement of these technologies and methods empowers oceanographers to conduct more in-depth and comprehensive research on the marine environment, its biota, and geological processes, thereby contributing to addressing critical issues such as global climate change, ecosystem management, and resource conservation.

The Innovation Geoscience(ISSN 2959-8753)是The Innovation的地球科学姊妹刊,通过开放获取(Open Access)的方式面向全球发表创新、严谨和前沿的重要地球科学研究进展。The Innovation Geoscience由西安交通大学程海教授(奥地利科学院院士)和University of Innsbruck的Christoph Spötl教授(奥地利科学院院士)共同担任主编。
