《理论语言学五道口站》（2022年第42期，总第245期）继续与大家分享“Linguistics Flash-Mobs”系列线上会议。本次会议时间为2020年5月15日，辩论双方为意大利威尼斯大学语言学教授Guglielmo Cinque和挪威特罗姆瑟大学语言学教授Peter Svenonius。两位教授就“Functional hierarchies（功能层级）”一题展开讨论，由意大利维罗纳大学Alessandra Tomaselli教授担任主持。

人物简介
Guglielmo Cinque
Guglielmo Cinque，意大利威尼斯大学语言学教授，现代最简句法领军人物之一，美国语言学会荣誉会员。Cinque教授的研究领域为生成语法和语言类型学。他与Luigi Rizzi教授是句法制图的奠基人，致力于探究语言的精细结构。
Guglielmo Cinque is a Professor of Linguistics at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He is one of the leading figures in modern minimalist syntax. He is also an honorary member of the Linguistic Society of America. Cinque works in the fields of generative grammar and language typology. Together with Luigi Rizzi he belongs to the founding figures of cartographic syntax, a research area devoted to the fine structure of languages.
Peter Svenonius
Peter Svenonius，挪威特罗姆瑟大学英语语言学教授。他的研究兴趣为句法学、句法-形态接口、句法-语音接口和句法-语义接口。
Peter Svenonius is a Professor of English linguistics at the Arctic University of Norway. His research interests include Syntax and its interfaces with form (morphology-phonology) and meaning (semantics).
Alessandra Tomaselli
Alessandra Tomaselli，意大利维罗纳大学外国语言文学系全职教授，其研究兴趣为语言-语法和句法、语言变化、语言规划、语言政策、方言学、德语习得和语料库语言学。
Alessandra Tomaselli is a full professor at the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Verona. She is interested in Language-Grammar and Syntax；Language Change, Language Planning, Language Policies；Dialectology；Acquisition of German and Corpus Linguistics.

此次会议主要围绕三个问题展开：
一、您所设想的语言习得模式是什么？
二、辖域在确定功能层级上有什么意义？
三、同一含义是否必须就对应一种可能的结构或推导呢？
1、What is the language acquisition model that you envisage?
2、What is the relevance of scope in determining functional hierarchies?
3、Does the same meaning necessarily correspond to only one possible structure/ derivation?

在当前的特殊时期下，我们特推出“Linguistics Flash-Mobs” 系列视频会议，以期保持语言学社区的紧密联系。接下来的每场会议中，两位著名学者将使用不同的框架对学界长期存在的理论问题进行一场场妙趣横生的“论战”！
此次线上活动由Cecilia Poletto主办，C. Gianollo, A. Giorgi, C. Guardiano, M. T. Guasti, M. R. Manzini, E. Pagliarini, E. Sanfelici, A. Tomaselli协办。
"Linguistics Flash - Mobs" is a series of video conferences thought to be a way to keep the linguistic community connected during this troublesome period. In each conference, two seminal scholars will face long-standing theoretical issues making use of different frameworks: fun is guaranteed with these "sword fights"!
