第一卷第二期正式出版



On the cover


There are over 55 million dementia patients in the world. Among them, Alzheimer's disease (AD) is most commonly seen, which typically causes disability and care-dependence among elderly people. The incidence rate of AD gradually increases with age among middle-aged and elderly people, thus having a particularly severe impact on the aging society. Unfortunately, there is currently no effective method to completely cure AD. Faced with this world-class challenge, global scientists continue to work on the potential pathological mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of AD, hoping to make breakthroughs in new biomarkers, imaging diagnosis, and peripheral blood measurement, thereby improving the early diagnosis accuracy of AD and providing more effective targets for new drug development. In the future, medicine will leverage artificial intelligence to further accelerate the pace of breakthroughs in basic research, promote the generation of new therapies, and ultimately win the battle against AD.

阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer's Disease)。全球有超过5500万的痴呆患者;而阿尔茨海默病(AD)是痴呆最常见的形式;也是造成全球老年人失能和依赖照护的主要原因之一。AD发病率在中老年人中随年龄增长而升高,因此对当今老龄化社会的冲击尤其严重。目前医学科技尚无可以完全治愈AD疾病的有效方法。面对这一世界级难题,全球科学家们在AD的潜在发病机制、早期诊断和治疗方面持续发力。期待未来在新的生物标志物、影像诊断和外周血标志物测定等方面取得新的突破;从而进一步提高AD的早期诊断准确率;并为其新药研发提供更有效的靶点。未来医学科学家将借助人工智能,进一步加速AD基础研究进程,促进AD新疗法的诞生,从而使人类彻底摆脱AD疾病带来的困扰。

The Innovation Medicine(ISSN 2959-8745)是The Innovation的医学姊妹刊,通过开放获取(Open Access)的方式面向全球发表创新、严谨和前沿的重要医学研究进展。The Innovation Medicine由北京大学的乔杰院士担任主编。
