In 2016, Urban China International Observer Programme got off the ground.
So far six sessions were successfully held.
And now we begin our
SEVENTH annual recruitment
around the globe!
建立与世界各地学府的交流平台
“城市”一直是讨论的热点话题，每个城市都有不同的气质，每个城市的背后也潜藏着不同的发展逻辑。将城市话题放置于在全球语境下展开讨论，必然会有更国际化的视野、更多元化的声音以及更丰富的思想碰撞。
作为一个具有全球化国际视野的交流平台，《城市中国》（Urban China）非常重视聆听世界各地学者的声音，因此希望通过“UC+”海外观察员栏目与世界各地的高校或研究机构搭建起交流的桥梁。
目前“UC+”海外观察员对话沙龙（Global Panels）由海外观察员们策划和组织，在海外学府举办城市相关的主题沙龙。
“Urban and Cities” is a hot topic in and out of academia. We believe in the uniqueness of each city. We also believe there is logic and experience that can learn from behind each city’s uniqueness. We hope to discuss the topic in a global context, which can certainly bring an international view, various voices and rich collisions of ideas.
The birth of the "UC+" project aims to build a global platform for communication with an international perspective. Global Panels require overseas observers to undertake most of the organizational work in their cities or universities.
独特的城市，最新的观察视角
八年来，分布在世界各地、深耕于各个领域的年轻学者报名参与UC海外观察员，并在城市更新、智慧城市、绿色城市、宜居城市、城市人居、建筑设计等多个话题发起了研究与探讨。这些学术理论与城市现实难题的讨论与碰撞，对于不同城市的思想与感悟，共同推动了城市发展的进程。
目前共有来自全球32个城市、世界35所知名高校、总计60名海外观察员，组织9次海外观察沙龙、投稿并发表了数十篇专栏文章。
Five years on, 53 International Observers from 32 global cities, 35 world-class institutions has enrolled in "UC+" project. They have organized 9 workshops and have published dozens of column. We discuss and research topics such as urban transformation, smart city, green city, urban habitat, architecture and design, etc. Collisions between theories and real problems, thoughts of various cities promote urban development.

招募对象 | Requirements
海外观察员要求：
正在海外从事城市研究、设计、开发、管理相关课题，
或对城市发展话题关注、热爱、敏感的学者、交流学生、在校工作人员等；
自招聘日起之后的在校时间应不少于1年。
International graduate students / researchers / research assistants specialized in relevant fields of urban issues are all welcomed;
since the date of recruitment, your time at universities or research institutions should be no less than 1 year.

本次招募海外观察员5人
We recruit 5 overseas observers for the seventh round of the project.
工作内容 | JD
1.在所在高校组织开展专题讨论沙龙活动—— "UC+"（线上or线下）；或开展其他线下交流方式；
2.根据活动内容提供必要的前期计划，活动后提供完善的讨论记录或成熟的研究文章，以及活动照片；
3.为城市中国各平台撰写文章、城市报告。
1. Organize Urban China Workshop "UC+" (online or offline) in the university or institution you are in, or carry out other offline communication.
2. Submit a proposal or plan before the workshop, and provide records of discussions or research articles after the workshop. Photos of the workshop are also required.
3. Submit column writings about urban observations regularly.
活动收获 | Rewards
1.凡参与者将受聘为“《城市中国》海外观察员”，将在《城市中国》杂志中予以刊登确认；
2.由panels讨论展开的文章将署名发表于《城市中国》纸质版、电子版杂志或其他平台；
3.成为《城市中国》特约撰稿专家库中一员，优先采用其文章、研究成果，优先受邀、参加城市中国主办的活动、竞赛等；
4.UC为海外活动提供全程素材和设计支持，为每次活动提供必要的资源、资金补贴；
5.UC为观察员撰写的稿件或照片提供稿费。
最终，为UC正式提供成果或做出实质合作的成员，颁发认证证书。返回国内的成员，还将优先邀请成为“《城市中国》特约编辑（Contributing Editor）”
1. The recruitment will be published on Urban China Magazine.
2. The article(s) you submit will be published on Urban China in print and on our APP or other media platforms.
3. You will become a member of our Expert Team, enjoying the priority of publishing papers / research articles on Urban China and participating in Urban China’s activities / forums.
4. All the supports, resources and necessary funding you need for the workshop are provided by Urban China.
5. Contribution fees are also paid for other published writings or photos.
